PCBL Grant
Porter County Business League believes in supporting the communities our member body lives and works in. We believe it is important that young people learn about our nation’s economy, personal thrift and the fundamentals of business. We also believe that good business people are constantly learning. And because we are not affiliated with any national networking forum, our membership dues stay right here in Porter County. Most years we are able to award two grants to non-profit organizations that promote business education and entrepreneurship for either adults or youth.
Members of the Porter County Business League awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County with a check for $1,000 in support of Teen Enterprise, their entrepreneurial program which offers members ages 12 to 18 the opportunity to develop and cultivate business skills as they run a concession program during leagues for the Club’s basketball and soccer seasons. With the support of the Porter County Business League, Teen Enterprise workers will be able to add additional equipment to their stores offered at the Portage, South Haven and Valparaiso Boys & Girls Clubs.
